The photographer
Gyorgy Kepes is a multi-faceted and diverse artist. His activities (painter, teacher, photographer, intellectual writer and editor) resulted in the emergence of new art forms.
He created several significant works related to light, e.g.: the first programmed light wall created by a visual artist in 1949 on the facade of the Radio Shack in Boston; the kinetic light wall of the KLM headquarters, Times Square, New York, built in 1959; the kinetic light wall, Harvard Square subway station, Cambridge; and the sacred decorations. The purpose of the Foundation:
